PulsReg® Regenerator Burner System PR
Basic Circuit
Function
Each regenerative PULSREG® burner system consists of one pair of burners. One regenerator
(heat exchanger) belongs to each burner.
This regenerator is a vessel with a fire-resisting insulation. It contains the heat storage
filling. One of the regenerators of the burner pair will be heated by the waste gas of the
furnace, the other regenerator of the pair will be cooled in reverse flow by the cold
combustion air. The combustion air is preheated, in the burner it will be mixed with the
fuel, ignited and heats the furnace.
When the regenerator in exhaust mode is heated enough, the flow direction in the regenerators inverts and the by waste gas preheated
regenerator will be cooled by the combustion air. The just before cooled regenerator
(with air) will be reheated with waste gas.
The pulsing change of the flow through the regenerators is done by valves (4 way control system).
Each burner is equipped with his own ignition and flame control acc. to the DIN /
DVGW-directions.
