Rotating-Regenerator with Burner

A regenerator with burner
continuous mode of operation
This type is a rotating regenerator with
low power output. There are separated ways for waste gas and hot air. Burner and
regenerator are a central unit, installed in the furnace wall. The waste gas is
caused to flow of at the heating position.

Fields of application are:
Installation in heat treatment, bath-type melting, pusher and
annealing furnaces with relatively clean waste gas, hearth-type melting furnaces and pouring furnaces
without salt treatment. The
requirement is that there is adequate space available on the furnace for the two
regenerators to be installed on top of it. Additionally required is a separate waste gas pipe
connection for up to 20% of the hot furnace waste gas in order to be able to
maintain the rotating regenerator in thermal balance. This waste gas pipe is
also used for operating a regenerator burner with cold air (emergency
operation). Thus, the operating availability of the furnace rises to >98 %. Burner and flame shape have to be specially adapted to the furnace geometry, with burner power up to
1000 kW being simply and safely achievable and controllable.
